If you’ve ever tried to swap out heating lamps in PET blowing machines, you know the drill. You move from an old SBO system to a newer Matrix series, and suddenly, the new lamp just… doesn’t fit. It’s frustrating. You’re staring at a machine that should be running, but you’re stuck fighting with a piece of glass that’s just a hair too long. We got tired of seeing that happen. Getting the heat (and the fit) right Here’s the thing: a blower lamp has to be perfect. If it doesn’t hit the right heat density, you either end up with under-softened preforms or, worse, burnt plastic. We obsess over the specs. We match the wattage and voltage of the original Aoki and Sidel units exactly. And the size? If a lamp is off by even two millimeters, it won’t seat in the socket. Period. That’s why we keep the quartz tube diameter tight—so it slides right into the reflector housing without any friction or forcing. The guts of the lamp We use high-purity quartz because these things take a beating. Rapid cycling creates massive thermal shock, and cheap glass just can’t handle it. Plus, we made sure the connectors match the OEM specs. You plug it in, wire it up, and get back to production. We also standardized the pin layout and electrical resistance. Why? Because generic lamps often ignore the machine’s power curve, and that’s a fast track to a burnout. A quick tip for the install These are true drop-in replacements. You won’t need to mess with your panels or bend any brackets. But a word of caution: if you decide to go with higher wattage lamps, keep an eye on your cooling fans. More heat in the oven means your fans have to work harder. If your cooling system is already on its last legs, that extra heat can linger and deform your preforms.
