Even if the quartz is tough, the heat it puts out is intense. If the housing is too tight, you risk warping plastic reflectors or—even worse—melting your wiring. Give it at least 10cm of clearance all around. Trust me, your house will thank you. The best part about these lamps is that they heat you, not the air. That’s why they’re perfect for damp bathrooms. Just keep in mind that higher wattage means more pull on your electricity. Do yourself a favor and wire them to a dedicated GFCI circuit. It’s the only way to handle the load safely in a wet zone.
