What’s Inside
Here’s the thing about this system: it’s all about packing a serious punch in a small space. We’re talking shortwave infrared technology, powered by a high-voltage supply—usually 400V—to deliver the wattage needed for that instant heat. It’s all about power density. The lamp gets up to operating temperature almost immediately, and its size is tailored to fit the exact chamber of a commercial hot dog warmer. That way, the heat lands right where it needs to—on the product.
The Build
The heart of it is a halogen infrared lamp, all wrapped up in a quartz envelope. This isn’t a random choice. Quartz can handle the constant shock of heating up and cooling down, over and over, without cracking. Inside, a special coating focuses all that infrared energy onto the target, so you’re not wasting heat. It connects with an R7s base—a solid, high-current connection that’s easy to wire and tough enough to handle the constant buzz of a busy kitchen.
Why It Works
